Position Overview:
We are in search of a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to become an integral part of our vibrant team, focusing on the production of Electric Motors. In this role, you will be essential in shaping the production strategy and overseeing the assembly of electric motors and drive unit components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and establish manufacturing standards, processes, equipment, and tooling for the entire Powertrain system, emphasizing the electric motor.
- Manage vendor relationships, oversee buyoff processes, commissioning, and the production launch of a new high-volume, automated manufacturing line.
- Design, construct, and implement tooling to facilitate the transition from low-volume prototype builds to high-volume manufacturing.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate manufacturing processes to identify and implement improvements in quality, throughput, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with the Quality Assurance team to set quality benchmarks and production requirements.
- Develop thorough training materials and conduct training sessions for production operators and technicians.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proficient in the setup, commissioning, and maintenance of automated machinery.
- Experience in early-stage manufacturing within a startup environment or involvement in new product introductions.
- Skilled in CAD software (such as CATIA, SolidWorks, NX, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic workplace.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for sustainable transportation solutions.
