Job Summary

FLINT Corp. is seeking a skilled industrial sewing specialist to join our team in Whitecourt, AB. As a key member of our fabrication shop, you will be responsible for creating high-quality insulation blankets using industrial sewing machines and various materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate industrial sewing machines to produce insulation blankets according to technical specifications.
  • Measure, cut, and assemble materials, including fibreglass, foam, and high-temp fabrics.
  • Interpret technical drawings and adjust techniques as needed for accurate production.
  • Inspect and ensure products meet quality standards; repair defects.
  • Perform routine maintenance and report mechanical issues.
  • Manage and organize an inventory of materials and supplies.
  • Follow safety protocols, use PPE, and adhere to company policies.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions.
  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a keen willingness to learn.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
  • Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shovelling, bending, twisting, etc.
