As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide advanced practice nursing care to children and adolescents with eating disorders, working collaboratively with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and manage patients with eating disorders, including those with co-morbid mental health conditions
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and research
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide family-centered care, promoting a supportive and inclusive environment
- Provide education and support to patients and families, addressing their unique needs and concerns
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices
- Engage in research and knowledge translation, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in pediatric eating disorders
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse Extended Class (RNEC)
- Master's degree in Nursing
- Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (RNEC) or Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner (RNEC) certification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in child and adolescent eating disorder nursing
- Leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams
