Your Role: Health & Safety Supervisor

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Health & Safety Supervisor to join our team in Montréal, Quebec. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the well-being of our employees and upholding the highest safety standards on every project.

  • Implement and Support Project Safety Plans: You will be responsible for implementing and supporting comprehensive health and safety plans aligned with regulatory requirements and PCL's best practices.
  • Identify Training Needs: Conduct thorough assessments to identify specific health and safety training needs for projects and personnel, ensuring everyone is equipped with the knowledge and skills to work safely.
  • Lead Inspections and Monitoring: Conduct regular project site inspections to monitor compliance with safety plans and identify potential hazards. Provide clear and concise feedback to project teams on areas requiring improvement.
  • Promote a Culture of Safety: Actively promote a culture of safety by encouraging open communication, hazard reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor and Supervise: Guide and mentor HSE Coordinators and employees, providing support and training to enhance their safety knowledge and practices.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a health and safety role, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction processes.
