We are looking for a skilled Mobile Equipment Mechanic to be part of our Operational Maintenance team.

Your role:

As a Mobile Equipment Mechanic, you will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Lead Hand, ensuring the reliability of all mobile equipment on site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the operational reliability of mobile equipment.
  • Work a standard 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, with potential overtime as needed.
  • Execute daily maintenance tasks and adhere to the preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Ensure the availability of necessary spare parts to optimize operational uptime while minimizing costs.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports on equipment repairs to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements for machinery and equipment through systematic inspection and testing.

Qualifications:

  • Red Seal Mechanic Certification.
  • Background in heavy-duty equipment repair.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a mechanic in an industrial setting.
  • Experience in forklift repair.
  • Strong commitment to safety and a safety-oriented mindset.
  • Knowledge of air brake systems.
  • Proficiency in diesel, propane, electric, and hydraulic systems.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with SAP and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and follow directions from the Maintenance Supervisor.
