Job Title: Clinical Laboratory Geneticist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Geneticist to join our team at BC Children's Hospital & BC Women's Hospital + Health Centre. As a Clinical Laboratory Geneticist, you will work collaboratively with our medical staff to provide expert consultative services to physicians and other healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide consultative services as a clinical Laboratory Geneticist with expertise in constitutional genetic and genomic testing.
  • Collaborate on Division, hospital, and provincial initiatives pertinent to laboratory genetics and genomics care.
  • Participate in quality and other administrative committees.
Qualifications:
  • PhD in Genetics or related field.
  • Certified or eligible for certification in Molecular Genetics, Cytogenetics, or Genetic & Genomic Diagnostics by the Canadian College of Medical Genetics (CCMG).
  • Preference will be given to those candidates with experience in both molecular and cytogenetics, or a minimum of 3 years' experience working as a clinical Laboratory Geneticist in a clinical laboratory.
