About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Autism Tutor to join our team in Selkirk, Manitoba. As an Autism Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver ABA Intervention: Provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) intervention to assigned children under the direction of the Autism Consultant and Senior Tutor.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with other team members to ensure coordination and integrity of services.
  • Communicate with Families: Communicate with child's family regarding the child's progress, care, and well-being.
  • Support Daily Activities: Support and assist child to participate in daily activities, self-care, and personal care when needed.
  • Document Progress: Collect data and information regarding the child's progress and document accordingly.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum education of Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to work within a team.
  • Certifications: Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Assets
  • Experience: Previous experience working with children and/or adults with developmental disabilities or ASD.
  • Education: Post-secondary course work in behavior modification/applied behavior analysis (ABA).
  • Work Experience: Previous work experience in a supervised ABA program.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of philosophies and practices in education, care, and support services for individuals with disabilities.
