About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at Unique Store Fixtures Ltd. as a key member of our production team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Study plans, specifications, and drawings of articles to be manufactured, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assemble and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units, reinforcing joints as necessary.
  • Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, preparing and applying laminated plastics as required.
  • Apply varnish, veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, ensuring a high-quality finish.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products, demonstrating expertise and creativity.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential for this role.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
  • Accurate, organized, and a team player with excellent communication skills.
