About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Nuba Restaurant Group. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our high standards of quality and customer service are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Staff: Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Train and Develop Staff: Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Manage Inventory and Supplies: Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and ensure that inventory levels are adequate to meet customer demand.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Establish methods to meet work schedules, and ensure that staff are aware of their responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Ensure Quality Control: Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Communicate with Colleagues and Management: Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure that everyone is aware of their roles and responsibilities, and to resolve any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a food service supervisory role, or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
