About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused individual to join our team as a Labourer at Drax Group. As a Labourer, you will play a critical role in supporting the efficient operation of our pellet production systems by performing various construction, repair, installation, and maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of construction, repair, installation, and maintenance activities to support Drax's pellet production systems.
- Operate a range of equipment and tools related to maintenance and rail activities, as well as perform other related duties.
- Ensure the highest level of safety standards, adhering to all applicable government regulations and corporate policies.
- Participate in cleaning tasks as scheduled or assigned by the Plant Manager or their designate.
- Assist in safely and efficiently loading rail cars and completing administrative tasks for shipping pelletized pellets.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and quality control initiatives.
- Operate mobile equipment as assigned.
- Report safety incidents and infractions.
- Assist maintenance staff or complete basic maintenance tasks when the plant is down alone or under the direction of maintenance staff.
