Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support assigned locations to ensure efficient and effective security operations.
  • Prepare and submit reports on incidents, complaints, and deficiencies that affect service delivery.
  • Inspect posts regularly and coordinate break relief functions.
  • Ensure guards are dressed in appropriate uniform and equipped to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
  • Compile and submit Daily Summary Reports from guards for review.
  • Inspect posts and test site staff on knowledge of Post Orders and General Orders.
  • Maintain effective control of issued equipment.
  • Communicate instructions from Head Office to security staff.
  • Train new security and traffic control staff on-site and share performance with the Operations Manager.
  • Make recommendations for improvement to increase effectiveness or benefit service delivery.
  • Perform emergency response duties as per the Emergency Response Manual.
  • Direct day-to-day operations and act as point of contact for security personnel during emergency operations.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and coach employees performing regular duties.
  • Ensure Security Occurrence Reports are written by security guards for incidents and reviewed for completeness and accuracy.
  • Carry and operate portable radios to communicate with the Airport Operations Communication Center Guards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum High School diploma or Grade 12 education.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of employment with A.S.P. incorporated or four (4) years of security supervisory related experience.
  • Eligible to work in Canada.
  • Ability to obtain an AVOP (Airside Vehicle Operating Permit) is mandatory.
  • Ability to obtain a RAIC (Restricted Access Identification Card) is mandatory.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of common security policies and various related Acts, Codes, and legislation.
  • Must possess a valid security license, Driver's License (G or higher) with a clean driving abstract, Standard First Aid & CPR certification, and willing to provide Criminal Record check upon request.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication, and active listening skills.
  • Able to work on nights, weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
