Job Overview

As a Grocery Team Leader at 88 Supermarket Ltd., you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and ensuring exceptional customer service in our grocery department.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with the Grocery Manager to develop and implement sales strategies that meet or exceed sales targets.
  2. Conduct regular merchandising reviews to optimize product placement and ensure maximum visibility.
  3. Provide exceptional customer service by answering product-related questions and addressing customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  4. Support customers in emergency situations and inform the manager/supervisor immediately.
  5. Maintain a safe working environment that meets health department standards.
  6. Ensure grocery shelves are clean, fully stocked, and visually appealing at all times.
  7. Design and implement effective store displays to increase sales and drive customer engagement.
  8. Conduct regular cleaning and maintenance of displays, equipment, and floors.
  9. Monitor inventory and rotation activities to minimize damage and expired products.
  10. Receive and verify grocery items deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  11. Train and support new team members in grocery department procedures and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and as part of a team.
  • Strong sense of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Able to lift and move a minimum of 20-50lbs.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, and weekends.
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
