Position Overview

Join our team at Tilly's Family Restaurant as a Culinary Support Staff. This role is essential in maintaining the smooth operation of our kitchen and ensuring a clean and efficient workspace.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education: No formal education required.
  • Experience: Training will be provided.
  • Kitchen Duties:
    • Assist in loading buspans and trays for service.
    • Utilize dishwashers for cleaning dishes, glassware, and utensils.
    • Organize and store dishes in designated areas.
    • Restock condiments and supplies at dining tables and service stations.
    • Manually wash and sanitize dishes and kitchen items.
    • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, and equipment.
    • Safely handle and store cleaning agents.
    • Receive, unpack, and organize supplies in various storage areas.
    • Dispose of kitchen waste and trash appropriately.
    • Perform floor maintenance including sweeping, mopping, and polishing.
Support Initiatives
  • Newcomer and Refugee Support: Assist newcomers and refugees with recognition of foreign credentials and provide training to foster a welcoming environment.
  • Indigenous Support: Offer mentorship and networking opportunities for Indigenous individuals, along with cultural competency training for all staff.
Work Details
  • Employment Type: Permanent position.
