Job Title: Roofer Helper

Ontario Inc. is seeking a skilled Roofer Helper to join our team. As a Roofer Helper, you will be responsible for assisting roofers in the installation, maintenance, and repair of roofs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position, or place equipment and materials
  • Clean and lubricate cranes
  • Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
  • Operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into earth to provide support for buildings and other structures
  • Instruct apprentices
  • Help medical examiners in charge
  • Operate locomotive cranes to move objects and materials at railway yards
  • Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites
  • Operate offshore oil rig cranes to unload and reload supply vessels
  • Assist in demolishing buildings
  • Clean and pile salvaged materials
  • Operate dragline cranes to expose coal seams and ore deposits at open pit mines
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
Work Environment:

As a Roofer Helper, you will work outdoors on construction sites, often in challenging weather conditions. You will be required to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Hand-eye coordination and physical stamina required
  • Dependability, flexibility, and reliability essential
  • Team player with a hardworking attitude
