About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Transportation Operations Supervisor to join our team at The North Transportation. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our delivery drivers and ensuring the smooth execution of our logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and submit production and other reports to management on a regular basis.
  • Team Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of our delivery drivers to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Training and Development
    • Train or arrange for training of new employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Coordination and Scheduling
    • Coordinate and schedule activities to ensure the smooth execution of our logistics operations.
  • Health and Safety
    • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed and that our drivers are aware of and comply with these regulations.
  • Personnel Management
    • Recommend personnel actions to management, including promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions.
  • Procurement
    • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support our operations.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Hours
    • 30 hours per week.
