We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time Math and Science Tutor to join our team at Scholars Learning Centre Inc.

About the Role

As a Part-Time Math and Science Tutor, you will be responsible for providing one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions to high school students in Math and Science. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement effective tutoring strategies that cater to the needs of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality tutoring services to high school students in Math and Science
  • Develop and implement individualized tutoring plans to meet the needs of each student
  • Assess student progress and adjust tutoring strategies as needed
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in tutoring and education
Requirements
  • Subject Expertise: Proficiency in Math, Physics, and Chemistry for high school students (grades 9-12)
  • Strong Communication Skills: The ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively
  • Friendly and Cooperative Attitude: Be approachable and engaging, with the ability to manage multiple students simultaneously
  • Experience: At least 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience preferred
