Head of Engineering Operations – Luxury Hotel

Location: Vancouver, BC

Compensation: $100,000

About the Organization:

Our organization is a prestigious luxury hotel providing sophisticated accommodations, exceptional amenities, and breathtaking views in Vancouver, BC. They are seeking a Head of Engineering Operations to manage the upkeep and functionality of all engineering systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervising the upkeep and functionality of all engineering systems
  2. Leading a team of technicians and engineering personnel, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance assessment
  3. Creating and executing preventative maintenance strategies to guarantee the continuous operation of equipment and facilities
  4. Ensuring adherence to safety standards and maintaining a secure work environment for both staff and guests
  5. Overseeing the budget for the engineering division, including expense forecasting, expenditure monitoring, and identifying cost-reduction opportunities
Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience is preferred

Demonstrated experience in a comparable position, ideally within the hospitality sector

Strong technical expertise and comprehension of building systems

Experience in leading a team of engineering personnel, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation

Outstanding problem-solving abilities and the capacity to quickly and effectively address maintenance challenges

Familiarity with regulatory requirements and safety standards pertaining to building operations and maintenance
