Position Overview
In the role of Automation Technician (Electrician), reporting to the Manufacturing Systems Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the operational efficiency of our facility. Your responsibilities will encompass equipment maintenance, including the installation, repair, and upkeep of all machinery and electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct electrical and preventative maintenance tasks, complete electrical work orders, and undertake additional electrical duties as required.
- Maintain and enhance shop floor control systems, including the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
- Stay abreast of new technologies and processes to continually improve skills.
- Collaborate with team members to accomplish assigned projects and engage in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Assist in the development of new programs, participate in equipment selection, and oversee the maintenance and upgrades of existing equipment.
- Execute tool changes and conduct trials for tooling enhancements.
- Engage in various projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with manufacturing maintenance operations.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience with Fanuc robots is advantageous.
- Willingness to mentor an apprentice.
