About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to our residents. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you can learn, grow, and contribute to the well-being of our residents.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional nursing care to residents, including assessing their needs, developing care plans, and implementing interventions to promote their health and well-being.
- Oversee the care given by non-registered staff, ensuring that it is delivered in accordance with individual resident care plans and in a manner consistent with the College of Nurses of Ontario Standards of Practice, the regulations set out in the Long Term Care Homes Act, and the policies and procedures of The Pines.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure that residents receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care and services provided at The Pines.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Practical Nursing (DPN) or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care home is an asset.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
