Responsibilities

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at The Glencoe Club. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality menu items in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Prepare Mise en Place for service, ensuring all ingredients are chopped, butchered, and prepared to the highest standards.
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary items, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Work collaboratively with the rest of the kitchen staff to ensure all food items are prepared to the highest standards and presented to the highest quality.
  • Prepare a variety of menu items based on Glencoe Club standards and requirements.
  • Ensure that all food items are cooked to the highest standards and presented in a timely and efficient manner.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 1 year culinary experience, with a strong understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation.
  • A Journeyman Seal or working towards a Red Seal certification is an asset.
  • Open availability, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • The ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • The ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 50 pounds.
  • Food Safe Certification and other required certifications.

Additional Details

This is a full-time position that reports to the Executive Chef. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, weekdays, evenings, and holidays. A flexible schedule is required, with shifts starting as early as 6am and as late as 8:30pm. The successful applicant will also be required to complete a background check and online certifications prior to commencing employment.
