Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Technician to join our team at Western Pacific Trust Company. As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring the integrity of our accounting systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Systems: Ensure the integrity of our accounting systems, including manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Journal Entries: Post journal entries and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Skills: Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, and accounting software such as Sage Accounting Software.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, and strong time management skills.
