Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer in Test to join our Software for Open Networking in the Cloud (SONiC) software development team. As a core member of the SONiC team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and qualifying features to run the world's largest data center networks.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop software features for SONiC, including functional specifications, design specifications, test plans, and code implementation.
- Work with the SONiC community to upstream code and test changes.
- Collaborate with customers to triage and fix problems in their networks.
- Develop automated tests for software and monitor test execution.
- Own projects from definition to deployment and ensure high-quality delivery.
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- 2+ years of related post-graduate work experience.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including C, C++, and Python programming languages.
- Knowledge of UNIX or Linux.
- Understanding of L2/L3 networking, including Spanning Tree Protocol, Link Aggregation Control Protocol, and packet forwarding engine.
