Job Title: Educational Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Educational Support Specialist to join our team at Lethbridge School Division No. 51. As an Educational Support Specialist, you will work closely with students, teachers, and other support staff to provide targeted and specialized supports and services to students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist students with academic tasks and adapt instruction to meet individual needs
  • Implement strategies to support socially appropriate behaviors and promote positive relationships
  • Attend to physical and medical needs of students, including lifting and toileting support
  • Monitor student progress and collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualized plans
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 or General Educational Development (GED) diploma
  • Post-secondary certificate or diploma in a related field (asset)
  • Experience working with students with exceptionalities (asset)
  • Training and/or experience with Positive Behavior Support Plans (asset)
