SUMMARY
Utilizing essential technical expertise, analytical skills, and current regulatory knowledge, deliver comprehensive client-focused air quality permitting, air dispersion modeling, and environmental compliance solutions to support clients in the industrial and commercial sectors across Canada.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conduct air dispersion modeling analysis in accordance with project specifications and/or established guidelines.
2. Calculate air emissions, identify necessary control technologies, and document process information to ensure client operations and practices comply with all relevant regulations.
3. Prepare air permit applications (ECAs, EASRs), permit amendment requests, standard exemptions, source inventories, and emission fee calculations for submission to regulatory agencies for industrial clients.
4. Implement sustainability initiatives for clients, including GHG inventory development, disclosures, and climate strategy.
5. Assist clients with communications with regulatory agencies, including support with enforcement-related correspondence.
6. Perform odor screening, modeling, and abatement assessments.
7. Develop strategies for regulatory compliance for clients.
8. Provide value-added consulting services to clients.
9. Stay informed about existing regulations and continuously review new and proposed regulations relevant to industrial clients.
10. Remain updated on the latest advancements in air pollution control technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental/Civil Engineering, or related Atmospheric/Environmental Science from an accredited institution; and at least one to two years of direct work experience. Must possess regulatory, industry, and technical knowledge related to permit applicability, emission inventories, air dispersion modeling, and permitting requirements. Proficiency in computer skills, including basic programming, word processing, spreadsheet capabilities, and familiarity with Microsoft Office software.

LICENSES / ACCREDITATION
A Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license issued by the Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) is not mandatory but is preferred.
A valid Driver's License for the province of Ontario.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, as well as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and address a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
