About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at BC Hydro. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and maintenance of our electrical power systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical power systems, including transmission and distribution lines, substations, and generation facilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct site visits to inspect and maintain electrical equipment, and perform troubleshooting and repair work as needed.
  • Develop and implement safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for employees and the public.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in electrical power systems technology.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association.
  • 5 years or more of experience in electrical power systems engineering.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
