Director, Facilities & Construction

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Facilities & Construction to join our Western Canada Leadership Team. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this individual will be responsible for the overall vision and management of a team dedicated to supporting the growth and development of our business network in Western Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support an exceptional customer experience in all of our stores and business.
  • Engage, support, challenge, lead and develop a team of talented managers and associates in support of our Western Canada culture.
  • Manage and set the overall direction for our affiliate program.
  • Liaise with the Global Real Estate team in evaluating NTI opportunities.
  • Manage the deployment of CAPEX projects, ensuring ROI is calculated and met based on company direction.
  • Lead the overall facilities maintenance function, ensuring equipment and facilities are adequate for an exceptional customer experience.
  • Provide clear direction and project management guidance on construction projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's, Masters or other advanced degree in Business, Management, Finance or other complimentary focuses.
  • Five to eight years of experience working in project management, construction, facilities management or related experience.
  • Retail industry knowledge is key.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • A proven ability and track record of developing and engaging multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively within stated timeframes and deadlines.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Ability to travel as required up to 50%.
