Position Overview
Reporting to the Regional Manager of Therapy Services, this role is essential in delivering high-quality care to clients. The Speech-Language Pathologist will lead in the assessment, planning, development, organization, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive care in accordance with the professional Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics established by the College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists of Manitoba.
Experience
- Prior experience in Speech-Language Pathology is preferred.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Active registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba.
- Eligibility for membership in Speech-Language and Audiology Canada.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in assessing, identifying, and treating clients across various age groups and with diverse conditions.
- Strong organizational, decision-making, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional proficiency in the English language, both written and spoken.
Physical Requirements
- Must maintain good physical and mental health, capable of sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods.
- Ability to perform under stress and within time constraints.
Additional Information
This position requires a Criminal Records Check (including vulnerable sector), Adult Abuse Registry Check, and a Child Abuse Registry Check. The successful candidate will bear any service charges incurred.
