Job Title: Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit department at Fort St. John Hospital and Health Centre.

Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse in our ICU, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and treat patients presenting in the ICU Unit
  • Work collaboratively with the Manager, Med/Surg; ICU; In-patients to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest clinical practices and procedures
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment
Requirements:
  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with others effectively
  • Demonstrated physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
  • Demonstrated ability to operate related equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate and work independently
  • Demonstrated knowledge of special procedures and techniques such as infusions of medications
