Position Overview

VDX is seeking a Senior Client Partnerships Strategist who possesses a comprehensive understanding of the distinct marketing hurdles encountered by various sectors in Canada. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in marketing and sales strategy, along with experience collaborating directly with marketing executives.

Reporting to the Head of Client Partnerships Canada, this role entails the responsibility of promoting our offerings, platform, and products to both agencies and brands. The Senior Client Partnerships Strategist will focus on a specific industry vertical, which may include Automotive, Consumer Goods, Finance, Retail, Restaurants, Travel, Public Service, Pharmaceuticals, or Media and Entertainment. We value individuals who grasp the unique marketing challenges faced by direct clients and have a solid foundation in marketing and sales strategy. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of 6-12 members who specialize in various functional areas, including account strategy, mid-funnel strategy, creative strategy, campaign strategy, market strategy, and supply strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for all prospective and existing clients, both agency and direct. Drive activity and revenue to foster growth within the offering. Develop a comprehensive outreach strategy to engage with marketing leaders and decision-makers at the brand level. Schedule meetings and engage in strategic discussions with marketing leaders at various companies. Conduct thorough research on each company to prepare for meetings, focusing on their current marketing strategies and unique challenges. Educate marketing leaders on our innovative cross-platform video solutions and how these can effectively address their specific challenges. Build long-term relationships with the aim of becoming a valued strategic partner. Provide insights and analysis on campaign strategies. Demonstrate strong listening skills to identify customer challenges, curate effective solutions, and meet client needs.

Required Qualifications

Over 6 years of experience in marketing strategy. A background in sales or demonstrated sales aptitude is preferred but not mandatory. Experience in an agency setting, managing relationships with senior marketers at brands. Proven brand marketing experience, with direct involvement in managing and strategizing campaigns as an internal marketer at leading brands. Ability to engage in discussions about marketing strategy with senior marketing leaders. Established relationship-building skills with key marketing decision-makers at brands, or a history of developing lasting and actionable client/partner relationships. Strong understanding of marketing industry trends and technologies. In-depth knowledge of leveraging brand marketing to create impact. A strong work ethic, eagerness to learn, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Self-motivated and comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented environment. A proactive problem solver. A team player who fosters a positive work atmosphere.
