About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bakery Specialist to join our team at Italian Bakery. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and Baking: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards by inspecting kitchen and food service areas.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Special Orders: Prepare special orders, including frosting and decorating cakes and baked goods.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Supermarket or bakery department.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to distinguish between colors, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, tight deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, dependability, excellent oral communication, reliability, and team player.
