- Administer medications, including narcotics, and ensure accurate documentation.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Participate in staff development and orientation to maintain a skilled and knowledgeable team.
- Adhere to infection control practices and promote a safe environment for residents and staff.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Licensed Practical Nurses.
- Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta.
- Certification in CPR and physical assessment course preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
The Licensed Practical Nurse position requires a significant amount of lifting, walking, reaching, bending, pushing, standing, and sitting. In an average day, the employee spends 4 to 6 hours standing or walking. LPNs must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs., frequent lifting and/or carrying of 20 lbs.
