Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Specialist to join our team. As a Process Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of our clients. You will be responsible for a combination of tasks, including installation coordination, equipment selection, execution of engineering calculations, and commissioning and validation protocol preparation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation coordination with contractors and vendors
  • Equipment selection, sizing calculations, and P&ID development
  • Execution of engineering calculations
  • Preparation of construction specifications, user requirements, and functional specifications
  • Commissioning and validation protocol preparation
  • Attendance of factory acceptance testing and on-site execution of commissioning and validation activities
  • Travel to client sites for site review and troubleshooting
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Applied Science degree in engineering from a recognized Canadian university
  • Ability to register with the Professional Engineer's of Ontario as an Engineer in Training. It is expected that professional practice examinations will be written and passed within 1 year.
  • Mechanical, Chemical, Process engineering skills with at least 2-3 years of industrial work experience.
  • Experience with engineering calculations, equipment sizing, specifications, process flow diagrams, and piping and instrumentation diagrams is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience with commissioning of systems, startup and troubleshooting of equipment is considered a strong asset.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English with the ability to communicate clearly with clients.
  • Adept at dealing with clients and other people in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Use of Microsoft operating system and Microsoft Office Suite to navigate a server environment and prepare engineering documents.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Project to create schedules, and track project resources.
  • Valid driver's license, and owner of a car.
