This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including the administration of accounts payable, reimbursement processes, collections, and overall account management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Adjust payroll and labor transactions through reorganization processing.
- Ensure compliance with federal travel policies and regulations during processing.
- Verify, analyze, and maintain financial data utilized by the DOJ Office of the Comptroller.
- Employ various electronic systems and databases, including UFMS, JEDI, and SAFARI, to analyze intricate data sets.
- Utilize financial management systems to monitor expenditures across multiple accounts.
- Generate reconciliation reports and conduct weekly reconciliations of financial records.
- Prepare financial documentation for review and approval by the DOJ Office of the Comptroller and other federal agencies.
- Provide assistance and support to other DOJ sections in transaction processing and system error resolution.
- Draft memorandums and correspondence related to financial activities, as well as communications with external vendors and agencies.
- Manage office documentation, databases, and schedules, while facilitating web conferences and office events.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or initiated that are essential for regular or special projects within the division.
- Contribute to team efforts as required.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in accounting or a bachelor's degree in a related field (finance, business, banking, or economics) with at least 30 credit hours in accounting.
- Familiarity with both manual and automated accounting systems utilized by financial institutions.
- Experience with commitments, obligations, and interagency reimbursement agreements.
- Knowledge of the quarterly review, accrual, and closeout processes.
- Ability to provide analytical and technical support for various financial activities.
- Capability to identify and analyze changes in budgetary and financial activities.
- Proficient in researching and analyzing financial data.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in UFMS, JEDI, SAFARI, E-2, and Excel.
- Experience in Budgeting Cycle Management.
- Expertise in Financial Management.
- Knowledge of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) processes.
- Experience in analyzing and managing reimbursable agreements.
- Understanding of obligations processing and committed funds tracking.
- Familiarity with auditing and accounting services.
- Skills in cash flow analysis and statistical analysis.
- Experience in financial fraud-related research.
- Proficiency in electronic data acquisition and processing.
- Systems analysis and administration experience.
- Database user support skills.
- Reporting and record management capabilities.
- Knowledge of business legal compliance.
- Experience with special projects.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, time management, and organizational skills.
- Advanced Excel skills, including formatting, sorting, and data manipulation techniques such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
