About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our team at Intact Financial Corporation. As an Accounting Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, reporting, and accounting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements
  • Analyze financial data and identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Update and maintain financial models and spreadsheets
  • Prepare and review accounting entries and journal entries
  • Participate in walkthrough testing meetings and IT general controls testing
  • Support senior analysts and specialists in their tasks
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting in progress
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in accounting or finance (an asset)
  • Aspirations to obtain a CPA (an asset)
  • Autonomy and a strong sense of responsibility
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Bilingual (English and French)
