About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Furniture Decorator to join our team at Van Gogh Designs Furniture Ltd. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for decorating wood surfaces to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate finishing machines or finish furniture by hand
  • Apply lacquer or other sealers to achieve a high-gloss finish
  • Decorate wood surfaces with precision and attention to detail
  • Clean, polish, and wax furniture to maintain its appearance
  • Sand metal furniture to prepare it for finish and spray with paint or other materials
  • Strip old finish from wood surfaces and make minor repairs to furniture
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role involves working in a fast-paced production environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and crouching. You will be required to work in a physically demanding role with repetitive tasks.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Excellent oral communication skills
