About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Aide to join our team at Goderich Place. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Patient Care: Provide basic care and support to patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor Patient Health: Take patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and report any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Assist with Daily Living Activities: Help patients with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and transferring.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure the patient's room and surrounding areas are clean and safe.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Will train
  • Work Setting: Nursing home/home for the aged
  • Physical Demands: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, repetitive tasks, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, ability to distinguish between colors, sound discrimination, standing for extended periods, combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling, walking
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
