Key Responsibilities- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide education to patients and families.
- Monitor patients' conditions, identifying potential complications and taking proactive measures to prevent them.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current Heart & Stroke approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current ACLS certification, with ongoing requirements.
- Recent critical care experience, with a preference for Critical Care Certificate holders.
- Telemetry experience and intravenous initiation/maintenance skills.
- Completion of Coronary Care 1 or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to function as an interactive member of the multidisciplinary team.
- Strong functional assessment, problem-solving, leadership, and teaching skills.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record.
