Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Window and Door Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Canada Windows and Doors. This is a permanent position with a focus on quality and precision in the assembly of window and door products.

QualificationsEducation
  • Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in a related field is preferred.
Work Environment
  • The work environment may be noisy and dusty.
  • Relocation costs are not covered by the employer; candidates should be willing to relocate.
  • Work is primarily conducted in a warehouse setting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Inspect manufactured items for defects and ensure they meet specifications.
  • Load, feed, or place materials into machines for processing.
  • Operate machinery to fabricate parts and products accurately.
  • Utilize hand tools to sand, trim, grind, or clean products to their final form.
  • Assemble components using various methods such as screwing, clipping, gluing, or welding.
  • Cut, shape, and fit materials to create parts and components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications effectively.
  • Welding experience is an asset.
Supervision

You will be working under the supervision of experienced structural metal and platework fabricators and fitters.

Materials and Equipment
  • Experience with fiberglass and wood materials is required.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and cutting machines is essential.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools is necessary.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and handle heavy loads.
  • Must be physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods.
  • Tasks may require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Weight handling capability of up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Tools and Safety Equipment
  • Must possess personal tools and safety equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, and steel-toed safety boots.
