Early Childhood Educator, Infant Toddler Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Development Professional to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Vancouver. As an Early Childhood Educator, Infant Toddler Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and engaging environment for infants and toddlers, promoting their cognitive, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement high-quality programs based on the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum, catering to the unique needs and interests of infants and toddlers.
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues, fostering a sense of community and collaboration.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment, adhering to YMCA and regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with families through our parent communication app, providing regular updates and feedback.
- Work collaboratively with the team to create a supportive and inclusive environment for all staff and families.
- ECE IT certification from a recognized program in British Columbia.
- Special Needs Educator (SNE) certification is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Emergency First Aid and CPR-C & AED certification required (can be obtained within 30 days of start date).
- Three professional reference checks to be completed.
- A current and satisfactory Criminal Reference Check/Vulnerable Sector Search issued within six months preceding start date.
