The Regional Operations Administrative Leader plays a crucial role in overseeing a range of administrative and operational duties associated with the management of programs at PHSA. This position frequently collaborates with Senior Leadership and Managers, serving as a vital resource for service requirements, delivery, workforce forecasting, and operational activities linked to centralized clerical and administrative functions. The leader will also provide strategic planning and change management assistance, evaluate trends, and pinpoint opportunities for new business initiatives and process improvements that enhance resource utilization and promote continuous quality enhancement across programs, aligning with PHSA's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Offer leadership and direction to assigned personnel, employing effective management strategies such as coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluation to ensure the achievement of desired outcomes while adhering to accreditation, regulatory, and safety standards. Serve as a resource across programs by advising leadership on staffing, policies, procedures, business processes, and navigation of clinical information systems related to centralized clerical and administrative functions. Assist in the formulation and execution of the business plan, including ongoing assessment and adjustments to ensure alignment with the organization's strategic objectives. Lead and facilitate strategic planning and change management for centralized clerical and administrative functions by conducting workflow and workload efficiency assessments, gathering and analyzing data, and proposing and implementing new or revised workflows and processes. This includes identifying operational inefficiencies and ensuring effective communication of changes to staff and relevant stakeholders. Develop, maintain, and implement clerical and administrative processes, policies, and documentation related to patient scheduling and clinical workflows to ensure the effectiveness of remediation processes and the quality assurance of patient data. This involves reviewing existing procedures, gathering feedback, identifying gaps, and ensuring compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards. Provide strategic guidance to leadership regarding workforce planning by identifying trends, analyzing data, and offering recommendations related to staffing and workforce improvements to meet operational needs.Qualifications
Candidates should possess:
A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Administration, Health Sciences, or a related field. A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting, including at least two (2) years in a leadership or supervisory capacity.The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
Proven leadership experience in a management role, particularly in a unionized environment. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to address operational challenges and propose innovative solutions. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all organizational levels. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team to achieve objectives. Proficiency in planning, organizing, coordinating, and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines. Familiarity with relevant software and technology, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
