Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our data engineering team, you will design and implement cutting-edge data processing systems, leveraging your expertise in data governance, schema design, and dimensional data modeling.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement data-driven solutions to automate and operationalize data collection, transformation, and machine learning models.
- Develop and advocate data governance and software best-practices to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Mentor and lead junior resources to help them grow into more senior roles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement service-oriented solutions.
- Design, document, and implement data models to support business intelligence and analytics.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or relevant experience.
- Strong software development background in Python or Java.
- 5+ years of SQL experience, with No-SQL experience a plus.
- 5+ years of experience with schema design and dimensional data modeling.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining data processing systems.
- Strong background in Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure Data Factory, Azure Managed SQL, Azure Databricks, and Azure Blob storage.
- Experience developing analytics-driven solutions in Microsoft PowerBI.
Preferred Qualifications
- Past experience with Apache Airflow or similar workflow management systems.
- Past experience with the Informatica platform.
- Exposure to Yandex Clickhouse or other column-oriented databases.
- Experience leading and building teams.
