Hamilton Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Actuarial Leader to join our team. As a key member of our actuarial team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our clients' actuarial functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actuarial Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and guidance to actuarial staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality actuarial services to our clients.
- Actuarial Modeling: Develop and implement advanced actuarial models, including but not limited to, valuation, inforce management, modeling, risk, capital management, and investments.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including but not limited to, US GAAP, US Stat, Bermuda EBS, and BSCR.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to, clients, auditors, and consultants.
- Project Management: Manage and coordinate actuarial projects, including but not limited to, valuation change management, scenario-based approach modeling, and actual to expected experience analysis.
- Team Management: Manage and coach actuarial staff, including but not limited to, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, Risk Management, or similar.
- Experience: Minimum of 8+ years relevant full-time actuarial experience, working directly for a life/annuity (re)insurance company or consulting organization.
- Skills: Advanced actuarial modeling skills in AXIS, Prophet, ALFA, and/or Milliman's Integrate. Advanced proficiency in Moody's AXIS. Advanced knowledge of US GAAP, US Stat, Bermuda EBS, and BSCR, RBC, and/or Solvency II.
- Personal Qualities: Technical, analytical, and lateral thinking individual with an eye for detail. Excellent critical thinking, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills. Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to effectively manage staff and prioritize competing deadlines, projects, and ad-hoc requests as they arise.
