Job Overview

Parker Johnston Industries Ltd is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual for the position of Flat Roofer. This role involves working in various outdoor environments and at heights, ensuring the installation and maintenance of roofing systems.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years in roofing or a related field
Work Environment
  • Work is performed outdoors and at elevated heights.
  • Various job sites will be encountered.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install or replace roofing materials such as asphalt shingles, wood shingles, and baked clay tiles on sloped roofs.
  • Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or masonry surfaces, both above and below ground.
  • Utilize hand and power tools for the installation and repair of metal roofing systems.
Physical Requirements
  • This position is physically demanding and requires handling heavy materials.
Tools and Equipment
  • Must possess personal tools and equipment, including:
  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • Hard hat
  • Safety glasses or goggles
  • Gloves
