Math Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a qualified Mathematics Teacher to join our team at Maaqtusiis Secondary School in Ahousaht. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our students and helping them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Mathematics 8-10 to high school students
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices in Mathematics education

Requirements:

  • Certification to teach in BC
  • Experience teaching Mathematics 8-10
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with students of varying ability levels
  • Flexibility and adaptability in meeting student needs
  • Knowledge of Ahousaht Culture and community
