About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team at Lanman Finishing Contractors Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean, and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in walls and surfaces, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure a professional finish.
  • Painting and Finishing: Mix paint to the desired colour and texture, and apply paint, wallpaper, and other materials to interior and exterior surfaces.
  • Client Consultation: Advise clients on colours and choice of wall coverings, and provide expert recommendations to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Health and Safety: Work safely at heights, and in outdoor environments, and take necessary precautions to prevent accidents and injuries.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work outdoors, at heights, and in various locations.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Qualities: Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, reliability, and team player attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience an asset, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality painting and decorating services.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 30 to 40 hours per week.
