Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hot Shot Driver/Warehouse Specialist to join our team at Interstate Batteries. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering batteries to dealers in a safe and timely manner, while also maintaining a well-stocked and organized warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivery and Logistics: Safely transport batteries to customers on a timely basis, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery.
  • Warehouse Management: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, ensuring all products are stored and rotated according to company standards.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and stretch-wrap machines to facilitate efficient warehouse operations.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Accurately complete reports and claims, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with company policies.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, interacting professionally with team members, managers, and customers.
Requirements
  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum one year experience in warehouse operations, including RF/HH equipment, forklift, electric pallet jack, and stretch-wrap machine.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Forklift license required, valid Class 5 driver's license with acceptable driving record, and Air Brake endorsement.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a team environment.
Work Environment

Our warehouse environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on safety and efficiency. You will be exposed to battery warehouse conditions, including moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. You will be required to stand and walk for two-hour intervals, lift up to 75 pounds, and perform repetitive tasks.
