Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth conversations with customers to determine their project requirements and level of expertise
  • Multitask effectively to meet customer needs
  • Clearly communicate the features and benefits of merchandise
  • Provide step-by-step guidance on project completion and required products
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked work environment
  • Perform heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods, with comfort using ladders
  • Pick, organize, and verify orders for delivery or pickup
  • Utilize computer terminals and/or Home Depot portable phones to check inventory, look up orders, and notify customers
  • Comfortable lifting merchandise for customer pickup

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
  • Experience in fast-paced customer service environments
  • Background in sales-driven environments an asset
  • Excellent communication and reading skills
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • Trade experience an asset
  • Proficiency with computers
  • Attention to detail
