Bakery Assistant Job Description

Tipton's Your Independent Grocer is seeking a skilled Bakery Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of sweet and savory goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare dough and batters for a range of baked goods, including bread, rolls, and sweet treats.
  • Bake and decorate cakes and pastries to a high standard.
  • Train and assist other team members in preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Requisition and order materials and supplies as needed.
  • Ensure that all products meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
  • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
