About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team at London Integrative Veterinary Services. As a key member of our veterinary care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinarians in delivering high-quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Animal Care and Handling
    • Collect and process animal samples for laboratory testing
    • Assist with animal restraint and handling during medical procedures
    • Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals
  • Medical Support
    • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including surgery and radiography
    • Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under the direction of a veterinarian
    • Monitor and maintain accurate medical records
  • Client Communication
    • Counsel clients on animal health care and provide education on medical procedures
    • Communicate effectively with clients to ensure their needs are met
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work collaboratively with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and other support staff to ensure seamless patient care
    • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest medical techniques and technologies
Requirements
  • Education and Certification
    • Registration as a Registered Animal Health Technologist or Registered Veterinary Technician
  • Experience and Skills
    • Minimum 3 years of experience as a veterinary technician or in a related field
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Personal Qualities
    • Compassion and empathy for animals and their owners
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
