Job Description

We are seeking a qualified French Language Teacher to fill a Long-Term Occasional (LTO) Planning Time position at the Waterloo Region District School Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and assessing program curriculum in French, as well as providing planning time support to the school.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and assess program curriculum in French to students in grades 2-6
  • Provide planning time support to the school, including developing and implementing curriculum plans
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective educational program
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • French as a Second Language (FSL) Part 1 qualification
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver and assess program curriculum in French
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
